Welcome to Dr. Mencer's advising page.
Dr. Mencer is a BIG believer in doing his advising in person. At times this can involve discussions that some students might rather avoid. However, I think that my advisees will find that I can provide a better advising if we sit down together and talk . . . have a give and take exchange. Online advising tools can augment this approach, but they should be tools to facilitate advising; not a replacement for it. We can select the best tools to use as we discuss your indvidual goals and needs.
For now you can think about why I have chosen to highlight the following quote on my advising page . . .
Chesire-Puss," she began, rather timidly . . .
"Would you tell me please, which way I ought to go from here?"
"That depends a good deal on where you want to get to," said the Cat.
"I don't much care where-" said Alice.
"Then it doesn't matter which way you go," said the Cat.
